The Venice Architecture Biennale is the world’s leading platform for architecture communication attracting more than 300.000 visitors in every edition. Last year Rem Koolhaas with a team from his thinktank AMO

-which I am part of- had the task to direct this important event.

One central part of this effort was the exhibition Elements of Architecture hosted in the Biennale Central Pavilion. The exhibition explored the history and future of architectural components like the door, the wall, the stair, the window, the roof with the ambition of adding lesser known and non-western research and cultures to the canon of international architecture. Within this team I was intensively working on the Roof, the Window and the Balcony.
